Default Square tire setup with VDC off

So I've searched for the last 3 days to no avail trying to find an answer to this question.

This setup is for track days...

WITH THE VDC OFF will I have issues running a square setup 275/35R18 Toyo R888s on my NISMO 18x9.5 LMGT4s?

I know this violates the F/R ratio rule but with the VDC OFF does it matter?

With VDC off, it won't matter. I run a square setup for autocrossing. I drive to and from events with VDC on and have rarely had it kick in.

On a lot of cars, especially the more recent model years, it appears as though VDC/TCS is more forgiving than it used to be on the 03/04 years.

… because, I’ve run basically this setup (I say basically because it was snow tires, but the same overall diameter you ask about). My car is a Perfomance model with VDC.

In fact, the tire sizes you ask about will work perfectly with VDC turned OFF.

And, they will also work OK with VDC turned ON when driving on the street (getting to the Track) and not pushing the car too hard (no drifting or spirited “turn-ins”). You always turn VDC to OFF when on the Track.

I've been running a non-staggered setup for over a year, with VDC on and off, with no problems. I run 265/35/18 tires all around. At the track I turn off VDC.

I got tired of trying to get the exact front/rear rolling circumference ratio to match the stock ratio, so I just started running the same size all around so the ratio is 1.0
