19 inch wheel and tire help
My car 2008 350z Enthuasist with TCS and no VDC. with 18 inch track model wheels.
I am puttting Nismo LMGT4 19 inch wheels on my car, and wanted input on tires.
I have decided between two tires the Goodyear Eagle F1-GSD3 or the Michlein Pilot Sport A/S.
I have used these tires before on my G-35 and Mustang GT and both were great.
My question is on tire size. The recommended size is 245/35/19 front and 75/35/19 rear. the respective diameter is 25.8 front and 26.6 rear on both tires, which is the same as factory diameter.
If I go Michelin I was going to go 245/40/19 front and 275/35/19 rear. the diameter on the michelins are 26.4 for the front and 26.6 for the rear. this is only a .2 difference in tire height instead of the factor .8.
Would this give me any problem with TCS?
I hada 2005 G35 sprot with Brembos and VDC. I put on BBS rims and 245/45/18 up front and 275/40/18 on the rear and had no issues whatsoever.
Is the 350z more succeptible to tire sizes then the G35, or is the traction issue just overblown?

You are using a general guideline. Not all tires are the same. As for my research all 245/40/19 tires are about 26.7 in diameter, and the 275/35/19 are 26.6 in daimeter. The one exclusion is the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S in which the 245/40 is actually shorter than the 275. check tire rack or michelin on the tire specs.
