they work great for me on spirited back road driving, terrible and almost

i bought these as a stepping stone tire, went from normal street tires

You couldn't have said it any better, except for the hydro plaining part. Yes the wet weather traction sucks but all tires hydroplane at the same time with proper inflation. I may get another set for the track, NT01's are looking very good to me.

Cool guys, thanks for the info!

I just bought me a set of 255/40/18 and 295/40/18. My wheels are coming in next week as well.

The NISMO is going to look quite the part.

on a heavy car like the z33... they're no good IMO. They worked awesome on my civic, but when i purchased a set for my z33, it was crap. I'd stay away from any tire falken makes...
if you're looking at these, look at the Yokohama S Drive, Advan Neova AD07 and if you're on a limited budget but was good tires, the Goodyear Eagle F1s.

Please tell more!!! Any reason behind that blind statement?

I agree with you, the 350z/z33 coupe chassis is far from "heavy" in all aspects. Its quite the lightweight contender compared to say the new R35 GTR, a MK-4 Supra, or even an SC300 of that matter.

In that regard, given the people that have posted, I would say its an all around great tire for sport, daily driving, and can handle some serious track abuse. But again, its not a full R-compound tire, so its going to show its limits under pressure. But again, its primarily a street oriented tire.

One good alternative is the Nitto Invo

Good asymetrical nondirectional tread with awsome road/track properties.

maybe as far as looks go, but the INVO isn't a good "alternative" for anything - I've used it, and it ranks among the worst tires I've tried (and this was on an SE-R...not exactly a car that is picky about the tires it likes (very easy car to drive quickly on). As far as track - not in this lifetime

suck is a relative term lolol

as far as a true performance tire - not even close. For a funky tread pattern - yep, it's got that going on

for the price (they are pretty cheap), the Azenis are a good bargain IMHO for a performance tire - I liked mine WAY better than the S03's (which I detested overall, as they were just incredibly uncomfortable)

I agree also 100%. My SO3 PP's on my 03 roadster (Nismo S-tune with 18" staggered Work VS-TX) were very grippy, but the ride was very uncomfortable and they were quite loud. Hopefully my run with the Azenis RT 615 will be good. I will have pictures and an overall vote on how they perform in a couple of weeks.

Thats pretty crazy, i have them on my DD wheels. I havn't tracked my, just played in the corners, and can't say anything bad about them.

I8ACOBRA has tracked his , and a few other Vegas locals have done the same with good results.

Gosh, I love these tires. Stiff sidewalls, fantastic grip, and they're cheap!

I only have one bad thing to say....
They stink. You probably think I'm kidding, but I'm not. Sometimes, I walk past my car and I can really smell them. Nothing bad, just a strong rubber smell. LOL!

what diameter?

if you have 17 inch they have 255/40/17 which would probably go on
a 9.5 but would look stretched and they have 275/40/17 which would be
a little wide on the 9.5 but stretched on the 10.5

i saw a guy last weekend at auto-x that had 18 inch and was running
275/35/18 front and 315/30/18 in rear i think-looked pretty mean

you need to go to the Falken website and study the tire sizes and spec
sheet in detail and compare what works for your car best-overall diameter, rim fitment guide, etc...

^ for 18" rim. The 255/40-18 would be my first in frt and 285/40-18 in the rear but that size isn't avail. they do have 295/40-18 but it's not exactly the dia or near oem.. that's why I ask the question. maybe 295/40 is do able?

I ordered the 255/40/18 for front and 295/40/18 rear already.
