New tires are not the solution. Excessive tire noise is a symptom not the root problem. Spend $800 on new tires and you will soon have noisy new tires in 5,000 miles.

Also, there are plenty of great replacements for them from other vendors that are cheaper, quieter, and plenty reliable.

While most toe noise from the front I've seen comes from 20-35 miles an hour, you may still want to turn your wheel all the way left or right and see if there is a pattern like this below (alternating dark/light on the inside or outside of the tire)- if there is, your front toe alignment is off and fixing it should take care of the issue.

Do you have a larger photo for our members? Thanks.

Davidv is right about the tires....before you put new tires on get the alignment done.I had the same problem when I bought my car in 03 (feathering, cupping, roaring) and the dealership re aligned my car because from the FACTORY alot of them came out of spec.

The dealership should do the re alignment for free and then consider new tires if their cupped, but don't buy tires from the stealership. With the BS that the stealership is handing you, you may want to consider having the alignment done somewhere else
