Wow! So much negativity! Me thinks some people are jealous that they can't afford wide Goodyear Eagle Gatorbacks. Why rip on something if you can have that, or something better? Aww, no $460 for new tires? And me being all Democratic and supporting Obama. Just eats you up, doesn't it?

Maybe you guys are just pissed that you can't AFFORD premium GoodYear Gatorbacks!
If you could afford them or something better, you would not feel threatened, and you would not rip on my post.
Maybe your prob is that you're poor of mind and wallet...

LOL @ 245 series tires being "wide".
LOL @ $460 for two tires being expensive.

Go buy some Michelin PS2s that are $460 each then come back and talk to us.

No one ''ripped on your post'' because they feel threatened. Most people here have equal or better setups than yours. People "ripped on your post" beause it contains massive amounts of fail.

i think everyone on the site has a better set-up than this guy. 2 tires for my car cost about 500 dollars.

Dude dont take these posts the wrong way. I just think these people are used to seeing a more aggressive set up than the stock 18's with slightly wider tires. The whole failed thread issue was for a number of other reasons. However, as for the z members here being poor, c'mon seriously? There are guys here with fully built motors and with wheels that cost like 4 g's.

... And I thought my Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Positions were mid-priced at $1050...

275's on an 8.5, way to much sidewall flex when you run with a width to narrow for the tire. That hurts handling a lot more than the width helps.
