Default General Tire

I decided to cheapen up on my last tire purchase (due to some other finances that came up at the same time), and went with General Tire's Exclaim UHP. I've got about 6k miles on them and i've gotta say, i am very impressed.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....el=Exclaim+UHP

So far, they are a hundred times quieter than the OEM bridgestones that i replaced. They come with massive tread in a fairly decent pattern, so i am happy with the way they look on the car. The sidewalls are a little softer so you can feel a little more sinking into the turns, but they handle remarkably well in the rain.

Overall, unless you are one of the people that thinks you have to have the most expensive to have the best, I would definitely recommend these tires. Not only do you save some cash, but you get a very decent ride from them as well.

General Exclaim UHP's are not all season tires.. they are still considered to be a summer tire. For a budget setup I definiately recommend these tires. They handle well in dry and wet conditions while providing a nice ride. They also have a nice tread rating and will not wear out quick.

I've used Nexen N3000's on the street and race track. They were very good for a cheap tire. Even my instructors were impressed.

No sir, they are NOT summer tires. Go to general tire website and see for yourself. 380AA is way too hard of a tire to have "summer tire" performance.

Yes I know what their website says and I do not consider this an all season tire, and the majority would also agree with that. An all season tire is meant to handle in dry, wet, and snow conditions. These tires have no snow traction and I've experienced this when I had a set on my car a few years ago. They are good in dry/wet conditions but I would never recommend them for a car that sees snow driving.

Tirerack.com, another site that bases their information off actual experience would also agree in listing this tire as a "summer tire"

I use falken 452, theyre relatively cheap. Seen em for 125 for fronts and 145 for rears. Pretty sure theyre summer tires, and they have treadwear of 300. Brand name but cheap.

I have a portion of an interstate to drive to work everyday, and i don't feel like i have to hold back any on the ramps because of these tires.

I bought a set of these earlier this summer. I have to say they are at least on par with the OEM Potenzas with the performance. And you just can't beat the price for the tire you're getting. I bought mine at a local discount tire for $650 total (OEM size). And General Tire was doing a promotion at the time and I got a $50 gift card from them.

Looks like a good tire I may have to pick 2 of these up for the fronts.
