again, there is no right answer or wrong answer

the fact of the matter is the ONLY answer is to try your intended drop, and your intended wheel and tire combo, and your intended camber/toe, roll if needed, don't roll if not needed. There really is no need to hyperanalyze it, nor is there one magical answer that will apply to every car, in every scenario

Or could I get away without rolling and adjusting camber? The stock ride height with aftermarket wheels = huge wheel gap.
In my case I would definately need to roll and adjust the camber. You could always try the camber settings first and then roll if needed. I have about a 2 finger gap. Have you ever seen a stock 4g eclipse? The gap on those cars stock is horrible compared to the Z.

This isn't accurate. the bond hasn't been compromised if you take appropriate precautions. I rolled the front in 05. No issues (didn't need to roll the rears).

Go talk to any reputable bodyshop and get back to me. During the roll you are stretching the metal. The paint will not stretch the same as the metal.

while this is technically accurate, in the real world, it's not so black and white. With the right tools and techniques, there need not be any long term issues...but like anything else, it all comes down to who is doing the work in the first place

Alright then, looks like I'm going to go tire hunting. Hopefully I won't need a roll, but we'll see. I thought it would be same for everyone, whether or not they would need a roll or not, but I don't see how it's different for everyone. Thanks for the input everyone, and thanks Adam for that straight-forward response.
