Default New tires-aspect ratio/VDC clarity

Need new tires and was reading up on posts from DavesZ and Kcobean on the tire ratio aspect issue with VDC operation.

My 07 GT has 245/40/18 in front and 265/35/19's in rear. I was searching to buy the Vredensteins for the rear but I don't believe they are manufactured in the 265/35/19 combination. If i understand the tire calculator correctly Kcobean posted then by using the next size- 275/30/19's will put me outside of the 3% margin causing issues with my VDC. It seems I am only able to use the 265/35's on the rear??

I guess my question to all is what is your experiences with this type of sizing issue?

Thanks!

Yes it confirms I was previously using the table correctly. I guess I am just looking for real world experience from others. Also Not sure if the relationship of size differences from front to rear also has adverse issues using sized tires other than stock with the VDC?

Without seeing them on the Ray's rims it seems the 295's might be a little wide. My driving is mostly highway-but would like to start autocross with a local group here in Austin in the near future. -I am afraid it would become another obsession so I have been slow to get involved!

I see where lots of others have used different sized tires and have read a couple of posts of VDC issues related to different tire sizes.

I reckon I just need to decide if I want to stay with 265's I will not be able to try the Vredensteins.

Just put 275/35 inplace of 265/35 on 06 grand touring with Ray rims and all works great.

Thanks- I was leaning towards the 295's but went with the 275/35's. I ordered the Vredestein Sessanta's Monday and received them tonight!

It took me 20 minutes to put them in the Z -I wrapped them up in big garbage bags to protect my leather. So I can take to work in the am and get them mounted at lunch.

I am looking for someone other than Discount in the Austin area that will mount them without marring up my Ray's. At worst case I will go to Discount Tire-I told them last nite I did not want them to use an impact to take off/put on and they didn't seem to keen to do it manually.
