My Nitto INVO Review
#21
Have you had a chance to track them yet i.e. autocross or road course? I'm ready to pull the trigger on getting a daily driver set but the Kumho XS is getting my interest as well. XS just does not have the sizes I'm looking for -> 255/40 F & 275/40 R.

Nope , but i've seen it done with great results. I have a seperate set of track wheels.

Wanted to resurrect this thread to provide my review on the INVOs. These are awesome tires! My setup is 255/40 in front & 275/40 in rear. These tires are extremely quiet, and they have a beautiful thread design. I've only driven them just over 100 miles and I'm very satisfied so far. Haven't had a chance to push them yet, or driven them in the rain.

I always like to try a new brand of tires everytime I have to change out. So far I have dealt with toyo t1-r and bfg kdw-2, loved both sets but this tire looks good and I can't say no to a quiet ride. Thanks for the review.

I am ready now for a new tire, the OEM 040's were terrible and my BFG KDW2's have been good but were very noisy, especially as they aged i.e. after 21,400 mi.
I am toying with over sizing the stock 18' rims with 255/40 F & 275/40 R. Although I am slammed and have wheel spacers 15mm FR & 20mm RR......errr so maybe not, just go with the stock sizes.
Thanks for the great write up, I was almost gonna go with the BS RE050A PP, but the Nitto Invo's sound like a great set of rubber.

^Thanks for the advice, appreciate your input.
edit: found a tire calculator and it makes sense, 245/40 Front would work with only a .79 width increase. Now I have something to go off of when measuring my clearence. Plus I could correct it with more negative camber.

I can vouch for all the positive feedbacks on the Invo.
I've already taken my Z to the circuit a couple of times with my Invos on and I am very happy with this brand.
They have decent steering response and very comfortable on the road (compared to my previous T1r and Dunlop Sportmaxx)
Im running stock GT tyre setup and yet the Invo's stick to the ground at each and every corner. One guy was pretty impressed he thought i was running semi slicks! (well the secret was my tyres and suspensions LOL)
These Invo babies never let me down!
I can just imagine the possibilities if i had the 285 series on. slurpeee.
btw. Nt555 is a summer tyre. it doesnt work well during rain. although i think it rocks at the circuit on dry weather.

I ordered a set today, went with the oem sizes. Due to the smaller dimension and circumference of the 40's. I just got the ride height at a very aggressive stance with the 45's and the 40's would just put me back were I was with wheel well gap. Thanks for your help; I will post up a pic when installed...
