Default Question Regarding ET Radials

Hey...I want to buy some Mickey Thompson ET radials...I was wondering if 305/35/18 fit the Z.

I have the Works Emotion XD9 wheels with the +45 offset in the rear. Do you guys think the 305 will fit without sticking out?

I run a 18x10.5 +28 rear with a 305/35/18 nitto drag. I had to roll my fenders some to keep from rubbing and im lowered on hotchkis springs. Isnt the work wheel only a 9.5? I would suggest looking for something smaller, if you are not putting down serious HP.

But to answer your question, I think they would clear the fender, but probably not the shock tower, unless you get a 15mm or so spacer. A pic of the rear would help me give you more information tho.

I just want some traction..I am putting down 577 at 14psi...with 550 torque...Anyway I can traction would be great. Right now I have BF goodridge and it catches in 3rd gear.

In the rear...ofset is +45.

Ive heard that MIckey is the way to go to get more traction...

I'm running BFG radials on 17x9's (22mm) when I go to the track and I'm happy with them if you decided to stay with 275's. You have ALOT more hp though.
Here's some pics to help you decide:

What is your wheel width? The +45 should be good to stuff a large tire on there, but you shouldn't put too large a tire for a given wheel diameter. I run a 305 on a 10.5" rear +43 wheel without one suspension tweak.

On my Z32TT, I run a 295/35/18 BFG DR, which gives decent traction in 2nd gear (~650rwhp).

What width is the wheel? Mickey one of the best, but they will not last long. The Nitto DR gives the most treadlife, with the BFG being second, but the BFGs hook better then Nitto.

The rear is 18x10". Are they good enough diameter for 305s

I have BFG right now...yea the tread is great but no traction...Whats the avg life span for Mickey Tires...The thing is I hardly drive it!...cuz I am in med school in NY and my car is in ATL...

A 10" wheel will work just fine with 305's. I have been thinking about putting these tires on as well, that way I don't have to change my wheels when I go to the track. I fit a 325 M/T on a 10" Weld wheel, but the tire rubbed on the inside shock area.325's are just too big. My Z looked great sitting there, but couldn't drive it without it rubbing. The only thing I don't like about driving on the street with DR"s is that at 100mph+ the back end gets a little loose. I can't tell you how long the M/T's will last because I don't DD my car.

BTW my offset is +43 on my SSR GT 3's 18x10

What about adding a baby spacer? Like 5 or 6mm? Mine are the SSR GT3 19x10.5 +43 with 305s, and I'd swear it'd take another half inch on each side or so. . . but maybe not! I use a 10mm spacer myself. . .

Nope - stock height; however, I have compressed the suspension and it doesn't appear that it would rub in the current condition. I could always remove the spacer, but I haven't had to thus far.

I have always worried about having spacers on the back and going down the track at 125mph. Someone educate me on why it would be OK

Sounds like you'll be fine.
Worst case scenario, you need like a 5mm spacer.
If I get another set one day, I'm buying M.T.
