Default To lower or not to lower

Not sure if this topic specifically has been covered. How many here have non-stock rims and opted not to lower the car? Does it look ok? I mean it could be better lowered I know that for sure but living in NJ I'm not sure I would want mine lowered. The size of my tires are 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear. I'm wondering if that will fill up the wheel wells sufficiently that I can get away with not lowering it. Thanks for any input in advance.

I would lower it. I have a 18" setup lowered if you want to see and Daytona has your exact size setup and lowered it. It looked kinda ok not lowered but 100% better lowered. He went with the kgmm springs which only lowered it about 1/2" but I went with the Eibachs which lowered it more than a inch. We are both in central Jersey if you want to check out our cars. I will also be at the Z meet this sunday and I may bring Daytona's car also since he is on vaca....

depends on the offset. I have an agressive offset, so my wheels are right at the fenders, and I couldn't lower if I wanted to. However, since they are out so far, the gap looks less and doesn't need it, imho.

Raised this thread form the past . I would like to get more info from you guys about this, as im in the same situation now. Will the car look like a 4x4 w/o it being lowered on 245/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear? Is it acceptable appearance wise?

i had the same rims/tires... there is a big wheel gap in the rear... it would look better lowered, although i never lowered it because i didn't wanna deal w/ camber issues... i don't have the pics i took a long time ago showing the wheelgap, but you can kinda see it in this one

just an FYI... the reason why your wheel gap is going to look bigger with those rear tires is because they are actually smaller than in diameter than your fronts... you need a 275/35/19 in the rear for VDC/ABS to function properly, but equally important... to look right without lowering...

a 275/35/19 is 1" smaller in diameter than stock, and therefore creates 0.5 inch more wheel gap

Thanks for the info guys.

Those are the exact same rims im getting Volk GT-7. So that's what the gap would look like w/ stock springs. Just like durobred, I didn't want to deal with the spring/shock/camber issues. From the pics you guys provided, I feel it defiantly needs to be lowered.

Ok time to spend another grand + to make the wheels sit right . Any more pics out there??
