You actually use the Consumer Reports test as gospel and never actually experienced driven these tires? I have, and I can personally state in this forum based on actually owning a set, that they're better than most performance tires in the market. And they're not garbage either.

I still have a good half year before needing to replace anything but I was eyeballing the invos, currently a T1R user. not sure why I'm looking elsewhere, I have no complaints about the T1R's, I've heard some people complain about road noise but I'm just not hearing it and they are less then half life in the rears for me for sure. Anyone have extensive rain driving, how do they handle? any complaints?

Drove on Tail of the Dragon in the rain with them and they seemed fine. I wasn't pushing them very hard since I've never pushed them in the rain but I would have been scared to death with 555s in the rain on the dragon

I kept up with my buddies on the interstate doing 80+ in the rain on the way to Zdayz

Do the Invos run Wide or Narrow vs. other tires?

10k update. I freaking love these tires. Best set I have had so far. The only problemo is the sidewall is wide unlike the toyo t1r's but other then that they are perfecto.

^ Tall sidewalls you mean. It sounds like these tires run a little larger which is good for me since they are going on a 11" rim.

Esp when running wider tires up front, some have a tendency to be steered by the road. You'll find the grooves in the road pulling you around in your lane as you drive down the highway.

For those running 255 or larger Invos up front, do you guys have this problem????

Sounds like you really like these tires. I think I am gonna run these, Kumho SPTs, or Vredesden's. The SPTs are tempting because of price. I really feel like the Invos have everything I want, they run wide, perform very very well, are ok in the rain, aren't noisey, and last a good while -- not sure if the vredesdens meet all that criteria.
