Sumitomo HTR Z II
I will agree that given my negative camber, they haven't showed much symptoms of such. I personally didn't think they did too well in the rain, but it could be worse. They're a good value, but that's probably it - a good value.
I tried a set of these tires on my 1991 MR-2 Turbo. It was a great price and did its job. Handling in the rain was okay. It is not an elite tire, but for daily driving it was worth the price. I just used to use them to burn out like crazy though, so they did not lost too long because of the abuse.
My cousin has them on his G and they are fine to me when I drive his car.
He is not a racer though and barely abuses his car, unlike me.
I have tried many tires on my vehicles, and I am going to be honest, nothing grips like Michelin.

I have these exact same tires on my little Nissan PU. 245/40/18 all the way around.
They suck in the rain something fierce but fine on dry. However any tires suck on my truck in the rain.
Only reason I bought them for my truck was because they were the cheapest new tires in that size I could find.

If you are looking for cheap daily tires then the HTRZII are acceptable. I've been fairly happy with them.
I've put nearly a year's worth of weekend driving, "spirited" mountain runs with other local 350Z and S2000 drivers, a season of AutoX, and 1 HDPE on my set and they've held up pretty well. I've been highly competitive at all of these in a mostly stock Z.
That being said, I would recommend the newer HTRZIII's. As the tests I've read on the TireRack.com website have the HTRZIII's rated much higher and are only marginally more expensive (HTRZ III's in 275/35/18 are only $14 more per tire than the II's)
You could obviously do better with the Falkens 615's, Dunlop Direzza Star Specs, Bridgestone RE01Rs, etc. but you have to be willing to spend significantly more.
