I don't know what the difference is, maybe the heat here in Florida is harder on the tires - - my rears are shot (245/45-18) and I don't do burnouts but I launch hard sometimes. I have 11,500 miles on my Z - fronts look as good as new ? ?

what makes your tires wear better than mine, dunno, different driving styles I guess - or maybe all of the sea shells in our streets

Hummm - I started wondering if maybe when the dealer performed the TSB for front tire wear and re-aligned the car (4 wheel alignment) if somehow they over compensated for the front being out of spec and screwed up my rear alignment (toe) -
maybe that's why my rear tires are shot when everybody else seems to have consistant wear, front to rear - - anybody have an thoughts or insight on this possibility??

I have 12000 and my rear tires are finished! They are slicks now !! fronts are about 3/4 of their way through their lifespan. Not many peel outs, but I love getting sideways when its safe enough too. I also take windy roads really fast, so I am not surprised.

I am replacing just the rears. The fronts will have to last until I get my new wheels!

It means you're too easy on your car!

Come to TN we'll show you how to drive.

The majority of the 350z in the club haven't hit 15k on a set of tires.
