Recommended tire size for 19x8.5" wheels?
I've been doing some research on what size of tires to run on a 19x8.5" set of SSR Comp-Hs for the rear. Would a 275/35 work okay or would those bulge slightly? The offset on the wheels is 32mm, but I plan on playing around with spacers a little bit if I don't end up liking that offset. I plan on using this for my street setup.
Thanks for your feedback.

Are you putting 8.5 all around? I would get a staggered setup and add at least an inch to the rear in the rim (9.5" wide) and run 245 front 275 rear.
If you are running 8.5 all around run 235 front and 255 year, that will keep the VDC happy. Do not run a 275 on the back with an 8.5 it will look retarded and be a whole bunch of weight for tire that isn't really touching the ground or doing anything. Not to mention that the back of the car will be really wobbly because the tire will roll during cornering really heavily.

Yeah I'm going 8.5's all around. As much as I'd like to get 9.5+'s, it won't happen due to the fact that these rims are 60% off and on closeout and the 9.5+'s are already all sold out
I kinda figured 275 would bulge too much, so 255 it is for the rear I suppose. I'm not worried about VDC/TCS since my car is a base model, but that's something I should have mentioned during my original post :P
Thanks for the help guys.

255 is your standard size for an 8.5" wheel, but 265 is acceptable also. Depending on how you define flush, you'll want 20-30mm spacers all-around given the high offset and small width. If it were me, I'd probably go 245/35/19 FR and 265/35/19 RR.
8.5 is a perfect fit for most 245. 255 will sit fine too, some with a slight pinch, some without, contact patch will still remain ideal or close to.
275 would definitely bulge. Running them in the back on 10" and the wall is pretty much perfectly vertical (275/40 R18 Fk452 on work xd9)

Thanks for all the help guys. Would I have to worry about rubbing if I wanted a subtle drop like Tein S-Techs or something similar? I've decided I'll probably go either 245/35 or 255/35 in the front and 255/35 in the rear.
So I've been debating between a few different tire setups for my 19x8.5's... I've narrowed it down to running:
245/35F + 265/30R (would be the most inexpensive setup)
245/35F + 265/35R
245/35F + 255/35R
With all the research I've been doing, it appears that some 265s such as Falkens will fit just fine on a 8.5 width tire without buldge. I wouldn't mind a minor amount of sidewall buldge honestly, because it'll help protect from curb rash, but I'm wondering how a 245/35 front and 265/30 rear setup would look (mainly because of slightly different aspect ratios) since this seems to be the least expensive route. What are your guys' thoughts?

^Nevermind, I answered my own question about the aspect ratio using simple math. Even with the 20mm extra on the rear tires, with an aspect ratio of 265/30R and 245/35F the rears will still have a shorter sidewall than the fronts by 6.25mm.
