I'm thinking of getting a set of 18x8.5 all around wheels with 235/40 front and 245/40 rear tires. Would this setup be ok? I know I have to run staggered tires due to VDC and traction control. Just wondering if anybody have this setup? Or is it better off I go with 225/40 front and 245/40 rear?

 

Even better 245/40 front and 245/45 rear. You don't want to run civic height tires on your car. They look stupid by not filling out the wheel wells.

 

Have you thought about running a square setup, like what terrasmak mentioned above? I think anything smaller than a 245 looks weak imo.
