Fikse fm5 custom made to order any size and offset you want.

edit: if you're looking to spend around 2000 , AME tm02 is the way to go .

looking for something off the beaten path?

how about a stock set of R34 GTR wheels, i'm unsure if the lug pattern is the same, but i think it'd be a clean looking wheel to put on any Z, good discussion piece too for the car shows (you'd have to get rid of the GTR centercaps tho.. ).

i've seen 'em for as low as 2500 on Ebay

MM - Prog spoke;s are being blown out on ebay for sub $2k... non-me's though

op... i get ya. choices are limited, and even I am scared of curbage.
At almost $1k per wheel and a 90 day wait I would get screwed
on a replacement. i would scale back the expense and focus on turning
up something awesome via ebay or the forums. gl and we're here to
help.

topnotch is wayyyyyyyy off on r34 wheel pricing. there are two sets on
ebay at $1200 as we speak. you will need spacers for remotely proper
fitment though.

Thanks lgear. I wanted this thread to be a more media-based collection of wheels, but hey, I'll take all the opinions I can get.

I know what a nice wheel is and all, and what good specs are, but some of the previous posts are already swaying me in a direction I would not normally go in terms of wheel style. I'm happy with that.

If you are looking for something rare, consider a set of Panasport G7s (if you can find them). I was very close to getting this set from a guy last year, 18x10/9s:

Stellar. Here's a picture of a set mounted on a 180, in gold:

I was deciding if I should keep my Z or not at the time, so with plans to sell it I didn't think it prudent to buy wheels for it. But they are pretty, and rare.

moforeynolds, that's my point behind starting this thread!

Thanks for posting those G7s. I'm glad someone understood the type of wheels I was looking to see.

cool man! The guy that I was going to buy those off of deals in rarer JDM parts, and regularly gets wheels in. Those are GenII G7s; here is a set of GenI G7s. I don't know the offset of these, but they are probably slightly higher than those GenIIs (the GenIIs were +15/+24).

Not my style, but he also had these Work Bersaglios which are also very rare (kinda dirty, just came off the container):

I don't know what he has in stock right now, but if you are interested in something like these let me know and I'll find out what he's got. The three sets I have listed here are extremely reasonably priced considering their rarity; $1400-$1800, with the tires.

These AREN'T from my guy, but SSR Agles are pretty awesome too:

I've been racking my brain trying to remember the name of these Manaray Sports; I have pictures of these mounted on an NSX, I'll post if I can find them. Rare and awesome.

RB Motorsports had these old-skool Koenigs too (NOTE: Koenig is NOT Konig):

damnit....

I'm only supposed to be looking right now. I'm saving, though. How would I go about getting in touch with said person when the time is right?

I like the Manarays and the GenI G7s even better.

These wheels aren't hot are they?

....but seriously.

The most unique wheels are going to be the ones built specifically for you because you called HRE and had them made to your specifications. They are of course also uniquely priced.

Or maybe I'll just let you pay the unique price, and I'll take your GT wheels off your hands

AFAIK, he still has the silver GenI G7s 18x9.5 and 18x10.5, unsure of offsets though. $1800, but no tires. Whenever you are ready just send me a PM and I'll see what he has, give you his phone number etc. I think his S/N on NICO is cnichols.

I think the dealer the "moforeynolds" is refering to has a store on Ebay:

http://stores.ebay.com/jdmautohouse_...QQftidZ2QQtZkm

Take a look at his sets of Impuls and Work VS while you're there. I think these would be a nice change for the Z.

Lug pattern is the same, as I've had these on my 300 before. They are 18x9 +30, and a very light forged wheel. Some 300 guys have found them for $1500 or so through Ebay US and Ebay Japan.
