your car is silverstone

You should go with what rims you like. Remember you are the one driving it.

There is nothing wrong with Konig rims, infact those look pretty sweet IMO.

I'm not really feeling them.

I would suggest you surf the marketplace for your next set.

i had another noob question... the guys i spoke with for these rims said the offset is +45, the the rim width is 8 or 8.5.. i didn't get enough info yet but hopefully get a better idea of what it'll look like.. what am i going to expect with this offset?

Ok I hope you haven't already ordered that setup. The wheel looks fine, but those sizes and offsets are not good. Before you jump on a set of wheels and tires read the wheel tech forum (this one) for a bit. Or you could just search the marketplace to get ideas of popular setups for the Z.

Welcome to the Z.

yea i'm used to +40 - +45 setups.. i still don't really know wut they mean but from reading on this site it seems like a stock setup on 17s is around +30, so I'm looking for something that will sit more flush with the fenders, but not require fender rolling.. any pointers?

You plan on lowering your car any? That will determine what offsets you can go w/ and be flush.

If you're lowered...usually people run some 9.5's and 10.5's in a +15 to +23 offset. Tires depending however.

If you wanna run a fat 305 in the rear you're gonna need a +35 on a 10.5 rear.

If you want the stretched look adjust accordingly. Just do some searches through the various media sections and threads. You'll find the offsets you like and the tire profile you like.

If it was me, I'd definitely ditch those wheels after hearing the offsets and widths. Even a large spacer is gonna be hard to make those flush.

ETA: Also it's hard to get the flush look at stock height. Being that you'll be running less negative camber and what may be flushed when lowered anywhere after an inch and sit flush will look vastly different than at stock height where the wheels may stick out some...

offset is the hub center in refference to the center of the wheel

+ is towards the outside
- is towards the inside of the rim.
It's all relative to the width of the rim as well.

a 10" rim 0 offset has 5" of wheel sticking in and out
a 10" rim with +25mm has 4" sticking out and 6" sticking in since 25.4 mm = 1 inch

The Z requires low offsets. my 10.5 +12mm still could use spacers

Ok.. i'm starting to get the idea.. I don't have any intention of lowering the car currently and would like to stick with 17's because of somewhat performance and ride comfort.. coming from a lowered car on 18's with low profiles I kinda wanna go with more meat on the rim.. I do want to have the wheels stick out a lil more than stock.. more than likely I will be using my stock tires only because my dealership offers tires for life lol.. again i will not be doing some crazy driving but would like to have a good looking car on the road

OP...before you take into any consideration w/ the above member's last statement, please realize that a +12 offset on a 10.5 will need some pretty serious neg. offset and some decently small (width wise) tires if you're lowered. If you're not lowered a +12 offset will make wheels stick out like a sore thumb.....

ETA: Just saw your last post. Okay so you're not lowering...for now... Go with a +17 or up offset. No greater than +24 though. At least do 18's. Trust me on that. Plenty of decent wheels at decent prices in the 18's. W/ the stock suspension already stiff as fawk you're not gonna tell the difference between 17" wheels vs. 18" wheels in terms of ride comfort....hell I barely noticed going from 17's to 19's....

One more thing...I will say if you're dead set on getting 17's the 5Zigen FN01R-C's are the best bet w/ a +25 or so offset and some meaty tires. IMO the best looking 17 I've seen on our beloved Z's and some good offsets to run decent tires. Most guys w/ this wheel setup use it for auto-x as it's a lightweight wheel that you can tuck 13" brakes under due to the concave of the spokes. Plus many do the 17X10 all the way around for neutral handling and ease at rotating tires.
