Default Extending Volks

I have a set of TE37 Time attack 10.5 Rear that i want to add another Inch or Two to the width. What is the Widest tire u can put on a Z? and Anyone have any suggestions of shops that i can send them to to get them custom Stretched? 1 more noob question. Is it possible to put a larger tire on a smaller wheel? like a 11.5 tire on a 10.5 wheel? idk this might be a stupid a$$ question but i thought someone told me they had some something like that?

Thanks guyz..

got my flame suit on so don't bother

you can get away with putting 305 series on there but fender rolling is obviously needed.

You'd be better off buying a set of 3pc wheels (meister, sp1, etc.) and ordering a new set of wider inner or outer barrels (depending on desired offset) to meet your needs. Widening a 1pc forged wheel is probably not such a good idea structurally.

While I wouldn't do it personally, I've seen forum members do it with the oem 350Z track 18's, which are also forged monoblocks made by Rays. Seems like it's doable, although not sure about longevity.

It is doable...they basically slice your wheels in two and add spacers then reweld..drag junkies do this all the time but I would recommend it on a performace/handling basis. I don't see why you would ever want to run wider that a 305 tire on a Z...

305's on 10.5+22, not sure why you would need to go any wider
