When it comes to wheels, my advice is don't ask for advice on this site. You will get loads of attitude from every direction. There's always going to be someone in your face saying "20's on a Z are Ghey or You're crazy for even thinking it!!"

Just follow your own preferences but research the threads for what does or does not work in the way of tire sizes, offsets or spacers. As for the style, don't worry about what the others like. It's your car. I'm sure no matter what you put on, someone out there is going to think it looks pretty good.

And yes, I have 20's on my ZR and I really don't give a damn what folks think. I don't race or beat on it. Yes they are heavier than stock but that is expected since they are also wider. Duh. Handling is awesome and I've had quite a few positive headturns, thumbs up and compliments from them. It's all about what makes your happy.

EBay wheels scare me. I just don't trust them. I suggest you save up a bit and go with a used set of something reliable.

Hey Guys thanks for everything. I just wanted to give you the update.

I met with him on Sunday. My brother came with me and drove his car before the swap and did agree with me about the road noise. We both think it was due to cheap tires. He did agree that the rims were insane and would have looked great on my 350Z-GTR.

We began removing the fronts first and found that the fantastic Brembro's would not allow the rims to fit. THAT'S RIGHT! THEY DIDN'T FIT! this is the second time but this time I was sure these would work. We measured from the disk to the rim and it should have fit. But it didn't.

Still on the hunt. I'll let you know what happens...

Thanks Guys

That is the truth! I love mine but lots of forum members hate them and aren't ashamed to let you know that you suck. One guy was even nice enough to rate both my Z AND my motorcycle a "1" in my garage since he hated my Z so much.

I say go for whatever you like the looks of. Even if you go with 20" rims you will get TONS of compliments on the street (just like I do); though be prepared for most forum readers to dislike you. You bought your Z for your satisfaction - not the members, right? Be individual - no cookie-cutters for me!
