I'm worried that lips will be out of style next year. How big a lip do the Privat Fahrens have in 18X8 and 18X9 sizes ?

Check with Todd. Lips are a function of wheel width and offset. When you get to a 10" wheel, there has to be a lip, or the inside of the wheel would scrape against the inside fender and suspension parts.

It's not a matter of "style"; it's required unless you go to skinny wheels and tires. If that is the style next year, I'm not following it.

lips accentuate a cars curves so much more than non-lip wheels...that's what makes them so popular. The wheels make the car....

Lips will never go out of style. High powered rear wheel drive cars need wide wheels for grippy traction. Wide wheels usually equals big lips!

It just makes it look more menacing. Example...

255/35 in the front's, that's what I was saying....actually closer to stock diameter than 245/35Z19.

Do you have any rubbing with those offsets? Or did you roll your fenders?

That lip is so huge it almost looks like the wheel is mounted backward!

I orginially got the 245 fronts, but when i put them on they just looked way to stretched out. I couldn't stand it. And with in a couple of days i already had a ding on the rim of the wheel because it stuck out passed the tire. The 255's fit better, and im not as worried about the wheels, but it could be wider. I'm thinking i want to go 275 fronts and 295 rears.

I did have the rear fenders cut (just that little lip, then they welded, sealed, and coated it). I dont know if i NEEDED to, but i desided i might as well, just incase. The front 255's fit just fine, it looks much better too. I dont understand why everyone insists on going with 245's anyways. The smaller tires seemed to help promote understreer...

My recomendation is to always keep your sizes 20 apart. For example: 225 - 245, 255 - 275, 275 - 295.
