Wonder how they compare to my Dunlop Z1 Star Specs. Similar tread designs and my Dunlops are sticky as hell. But also very expensive. These might be a nice alternative if the pricing is better than $380 for 275/35/18 Star Specs. Here's to hoping they come out w/ a 295 or 305 flavor in the 18's

Dunlop Z1 Star Specs is ok. Its nowhere near the performance of the Hankook RS3 though.
The 200 treadwear rating is designed more for the mild performance street car in mind.
Based on the 200 rating, I would say that is designed to compete against the Falken RT615, Hankook RS2, Bridgestone RE-11 crowd.

The RS3 has a much softer rating of 140. This tire was designed to compete against the "Flagship" Performance tires such as Yokohama Advan AD08, Bridgestone RE070, Pirelli P-Zero System.

Hankook is slowly releasing more sizes. I think right now the main focus is on the most popular sizes first. Im sure in time more sizes will be available.

It's difficult to compare performance solely on treadwear ratings, especially since these ratings are not consistent from one manufacturer to the next.

With the exception of some of the older tires, and maybe the p-zeros, the rest of the tires are quite comparable.

Those sure are impressive tires and I'm certain they're sticky but there is NO WAY those grip well in wet conditions.

Because I drive in the real world the vast majority of the time, I go with the less "extreme" V12 Evos for my next pit stop.

Actually you'd be surprised, they respond extremely well in wet conditions. We specifically use RS-3s during wet conditions for our racing program.

Info on the Tire Compound:
Hankook Racing Carbonblack Silica Compound (RCSC) technology has been incorporated in the Ventus R-S3 to improve dry grip. The tire's profile has been developed to maximize a footprint contact patch that features a directional tread design comprised of large shoulder blocks, notched intermediate ribs and a wide center rib to deliver constant road contact and enhance the tire's handling capabilities. The Ventus name and unique flame patterns are subtly recessed into the center rib and both intermediate ribs to help drivers show off their "hot" new treads. Wide circumferential center grooves, narrower outboard grooves and multiple lateral grooves provide water evacuation for wet traction. The tire's internal structure includes two wide steel belts reinforced by nylon to provide strength and high-speed capability while two-ply polyester sidewalls help resist lateral deflection to provide responsive handling and cornering stability.

They do look pretty sweet but that design on the middle part seems like wasted effort and it most certainly jacks the price of them up. Looks like about 2-3 weeks of driving will make it disappear.
