Default Rust in Open Lugs?

Sup guys, I've tried searching using the tags Rust, Lugs, Open and just can't seem to find any info on how to get rust stains out of my open lug nugs from the wheels studs. I've got Project Mu Lug nuts that have a finish on them and don't want to have to resort to using a dremel. Any help is appreciated. Mods, this may need to moved to the repair/maintanence section.

I had this happen on the inside of my Kic's re40's, I took a some pb blaster and sprayed it on a rag and cleaned it out then some rust preventer on a Qtip (after installed) and put a very light coat on them works great so far.

Try some WD-40 inside the lugs; then use q-tip to wipe excess fluid dry. Then re-apply WD-40. I use it on my craft square mirror screws because they are exposed to the element. And WD-40 works great.

Never seen a prob with mine, then again quality aftermarket studs don't seem to rust like stockers.

Will spraying wd-40 into the lugs possibly loosen the lug from the stud?

Nope , WD40 is not a lube , and can actually help your lug freeze to your stud over time.

WD actually stands for ??? anyone anyone ?
