ehh the far away pic doesnt look terrible. If you like it thats what counts. I wouldnt do it to my wheels but doesnt look all that terrible to me. The color combo is a bit played out though.

absolutely awful. Like some others have said, just stay stock and keep it clean before you do some nonsense like that. I had the stock 18" wagon wheels on my car and still got nothing but compliments because I was insane about taking care of my Z (pics in my gallery).

I meant for the car! Not the wheels.
you sticker and rattle-can a set of 17" stockers, but then say you are considering a matte black vinyl wrap? I think you need to look in to how much those actually cost.

I know how much it costs. I just dont feel the need to spend money on wheels at this time, as I stated in the op.

yah bro...take those vinyl off...makes the wheel look like an octagon shape...with the black it does look nice, but it seems like you didnt take your time, there are spots it seems you didnt go over enough. I'm thinking about painting my rims too, since it got some curb rash on them, but these kind of things, you gotta take ur time. For christ sake, everyone on this forum that owns a Z, baby the **** out of it, take time and even talk to it when washing her...

Since you already did it, you can salvage them by pulling the red stripe off, spacers + drop will clean it up.

in summation: I don't know what you were thinking it would turn out looking like, but it didn't. it looks hideous and you should pull that vinyl off as fast as you can pick your chubby cheetos eating *** off the hammock in the basement of your parent's house.

OMG

Don't hold back, let him know how you really feel.

Question is, if you were going to a meet, would you hesitate going with anticipation of embarrassment or feeling ashamed of those rims? If the answer is yes , then you know the vinyl is a no no
I would at least take the vinyl off until I get some decent rims

damn... controlling your temper under these flames... nice!
well, 17 inch rims is just too small to do any TA, especially with the fat tire profile.
I would suggest take the red vinyl off and paint the calipers black. Red calipers just stands out too much and looks cheap.

good luck. post pics after whatever you do.

UPDATED:

All I did was remove the red vinyl for now. Flame on if you must!
I'm going to finish it up later this weekend.

(And if your wondering, I took off the yellow front sidemarkers and am waiting for the white ones I bought online.)

why wouldn't you wait to take off the sidemarkers until your new ones came in?

this isn't meant as a flame, but it just looks altogether terrible. Better without that stripe though. Now, go wash the damn thing.

nice try...they dont like that bad but I'v never been a fan of the 04' stock rims....I ended up ditching mine since I couldnt get volks and picking up a set of 06'+ rims instead...I would say if your modding on a budget find a set of those and get them power coated black...You can find 06' 18s for around $450 for the set and like $80 a rim for power coating at a good shop.

edit: just noticed...you should get some spacers...there only around $150 a set...having the tires and rims flush with the fender makes the car look so much more aggressive....30mm rear and 25mm front FTW.

Much better w/o the stripe, put some spacers on and save up for some quality rims because you can alway sell the spacers down the road.
