I am gonna beat him up, when I see him I was surprised that he did not order the Toyo Proxes T1-S before hand. In any event, got an email from Paul, this evening, apprising me that the tires are expected in tomorrow in the AM. On top of that, the front sizes that we had planned on, is out of stock; with Paul's supplier. Apparently we now have to go slightly narrower.
The initial plan was:
- front = 245/35/19
- rear = 275/30/19
I hope to have the wheels on for the upcoming show in PA with Robert Bell, the publisher of Sport Z Magazine
Thanks for checking in Bob.
Best

are you going to run 30 series (275x30) in the back and 35 (245x35) in the front, i think it may throw off the VDC system..
might want to check the % diff on the ones you end up with before mounting them

Thanks Paul,
For a moment there, I was wondering what was it going to take to get Paul to sniff us out over here, at this thread
Looks like you were not sleeping on the job, after all; in fact it appears that you were on the case even when you were super busy with/at the Zee convention.
Thanks again Paul, for your continues care and support. Give me a buzz and I shall be there. I have also spoken to my body man, to put off the NISMO paint and install till the final week of October. The wheels are more important. Furthermore, I'd like to see how the wheels look with the stock lines versus the NISMO (without the top tail spoilers); I am staying subtle with the 'fins.'
Additionally, I had my driveway redone and completed just this Friday, it has been lower, the climb made more gradual so as not to hit my nose/bottom.
See, I am ready for the wheels!
See you soon, Paul.
Best
Gerald

Was up at Avalon Racing, NH this morning for the 840R fitting; it rained most of the day, so you can imagine our fully soaked, mud stained body.
Here’s a little teaser
Bob, your HRE team produced a phenomenal work of art. I shall have more pics later in the week.
Thanks.

Thanks Paul; as usual Jeff was the helpful and accommodating self. He is always going beyond his job requirement to make the customer happy and satisfied. In fact he was more helpful, than the tech support personnel when my FMU failed; but that’s another story.
I am sorry that you were having your dose of pay backs with your neck; we take our bodies for granted, when we can’t even trade it in for a new model, rebuild the vital components, and the only means of transport for the rest of our lives, and we put junk into it; and repeatedly hit our rev limiter without regard.
Come to think of it, I treat my zee better than I treat myself.
Would have been nice to have met up with you when I was up at your shop on Tuesday.
Thanks
Gerald

We will ge together next time. I have sdome business travel coming up and then the potential surgery. But I will only be out for a few days. Not sure about my racing career though. Jeff tells me you are ready to think about the next round?

Absolutely a must!
In any event, I've got to clean and shine them before making any public appearances After the beating they took, rolling through 400 grueling miles; a pro-charger demo at Wethersfield; mind you, all this under extreme conditions. Even I need a shine, here and there
Oh and another thing, I plan to take them for an alignment check, hopefully tomorrow, Thursday.
Finger prints, finger prints………

Oh hell.....looks like alignment is gonna be tricky, as most Nissans I checked, only go as high as 18”; and as for the tire sensors has anyone transferred them successfully onto the 19” wheels. Some warn against the sensors getting loose within the tires, any thoughts on that?
Bob another one for you; what should one know about cleaning dos and don’ts, chemicals, cleaners, ya-da, ya-da, with the HRE 840R(s)? Got to clean them right before lights, camera, action
Thanks
Gerald.

The tire senors will work on a 19" wheel. They do though, loosen. We have had one customer who has had one loosen twice now. The majority of our customers have had no problems withthe sensors.
As for cleaning - refer to the detail zone of our web site. For the polished sections., non clearcoated, use a non abrasive metal polish. Over the counter you can find Mother's Billet. I prefer IBIZ.
