Default 11.5" rim +30, clear suspension??

Hey guys,

I;ve gone thru most of the aggro wheel threads to find this info, but no dice.

Most people with that wide of a rim wanna run lots of camber and low offsets.

I basically want to know is what is the widest and highest offset I can run without rubbing on the suspension.

I know and 11" rim with a +24 offset will clear but and not sure by how much and if and additional 13mm by adding another 1/2" will rub the suspension.

Thanks!

slammed on BC Racing CO's with 10.5 +30mm, I rubbed a tiny portion of my shocks off. If you're lowered, I would roll your fenders and push them out a bit further with spacers.

11+24mm == 10.5+30mm inside clearance

I'm running 10.5+23mm now and don't rub.
You would need to run 11.5+10mm to get the same inside clearance

You add 13mm in width (11" to 11.5") but you also add 6mm in offset, to total 19mm additional on the inside surface towards the suspension/brakes. Good thing is that you could find the right spacer to put it just in the right spot to fit. I think a 10-15mm HC-spacer may do the trick.

What size tire were you planning/hoping to put on it?

ya i assumed the same outer position (as that is already flush and dont want it sticking out anymore), while just decreasing inner (which would be a 11+24 to a 11.5+30)

so if its already rubbing on a 10.5" +30, then there's no way a 11.5" +30 will work.

Lil concerned that the 10.5" +30 was rubbing, but i'll be using a 275 tire on the 11" setup so the stretch might be ok.

Thanks!

10.5 +30 is probably ok. The SSR GT3s on our vert are 10.5 +43, which was fine with stock suspension except for being sunken in. I put them on my coupe and it just touched with TEIN coilover shock body. On the vert, I put a 15mm spacer on to net a +28 offset, which is pretty flush with the fender - maybe a few more mm on the outside (and of course now that 15mm of room is on the inner portion where the spacer was added). We also run a 305-sized tire on this set-up without issue.

Yup, the 275 will look stretched on an 11, but I thought you said it was 11.5?

i'm loooking to widen the wheels i have, sorry for the confusion. Right now they are 9.5" +5 (same outside as 10.5" +18). So the outside face doesnt move, becuase all the extra width is added behind the hub.

I was tryin to figure if 11.5" wheels with a +30 offset would clear, bc that would be the effective offset of adding 2". Looks like just the 11" option would be cuttin it close, so the 11.5" wont work.

the backspacing of an 11" +24 or 10.5 +30 would give the same amount of distance to the suspension, so if that fits, the 11" +24 would be fine.

Thanks!
