Default Question about tire size and limp mode??

I'm experiencing a problem on my vdc equipped 04... i'm currently running the 19" rays forged g35 rims and I 225/35 fronts and 245/40 rears...

I know this is out of spec for the 350z and the car keeps going into limp mode (vdc & slip lights + can't go over 2500ish rpms) but the car also throws on the SES and the code is a p2135 (TPS Malfunction)... i've since replaced the TB and still get the SES+VDC+Slip lights, requiring a restart... the SES light remains but i never get the VDC+Slip at start up... I can almost predict when the limp mode will kick in because the majority of the time it is triggered by rough roads...

Throttle body aside, anyone running funky tire sizes and getting limp mode ever have this code (p2135) thrown as well??

The rough road triggering could be a sign to a bad __________________ ??????

I'm putting on 225/40's on the front in about a hour....

your car things the front tires are in a skid at all times. Changing the tires is a good thing. See what happens with the proper tires.

Rear tires are 38.5mm taller than front. VDC may not like this.

The tire height difference can definitely be causing VDC to kick in, but since you're getting P2135, I suspect you still have another issue. Since you've replaced the TB already, it could be a problem with the connector or harness or it could also be caused by a problem in the Accelerator Pedal Position sensor. The vibrations of the rough road could be triggering either of those conditions.

Default update...

i changed the front tires to 225/40's and the problem was still there... i was hoping that the limp mode and the SES were two seperate problems but apparently my tires were not causing the limp mode...

so i limped to Turbo Toys in tampa and Jim, the owner, hooked up his consult II and found a bunch of U1000 (which is a communication problem code) so he cleared all of them and looked at the throttle body harness... he said it looked ok but went ahead and bent the connectors to make better contact and added dielectric grease as well... this seems to have fixed my problem so it wasnt a bad throttle body but a bad connection to the throttle body...
