Default new tires

I have all stock wheels and the original Bridgestone Potenzas that came with my z but they are over $300 a piece which is a little pricey to me. Does anyone know of any other brands which are good and whether putting different brand tires on the car will affect the alignment or performance. I can't afford to take my car to the track so I'm not looking to get top of the line tires. Any suggestions for good quality tires at a decent price? Maybe something more like $200 or less a tire?

kuhmo spt are what i'm running. 120 i believe each for the 225, and 140 for the 245. I would get 255 with sumitzumo htzII if given another chance since the 245 made my rear look smaller. Have no complaints wiht the kuhmo as I am like you and just need a summer tire that works. I'm in grad school so I can't break the bank on tires.

changing the brand of tire will not cause for loss of performance or alignment. in this case you will be doing yoruself a favor. best bet is to go to tirerack or discount tire, type in your tire sizes, and do this thing called shopping for the price range you are looking for.
