I have nearly the same wear patterns. By putting a 275 on the OEM rims, we are causing them to bulge a bit in the middle, which will cause them to wear in the middle faster. I have had an alignment every 6 months for two years, and have a drop, camber kit, and toe bolts. Every 5000 miles i reverse the tires to even camber wear.

My suggestion is get the rears swapped (flipped sides) to even out the camber wear, and get an alignment. I would run no more than 30 psi in the rears. I run 27.

I mean, it looks like the kind of wear you would see at -2 camber and aggressive driving. I guess 5k is a little short for a tire like the ASX though. From the wear pattern on the rear right tire - the little slivers of rubber hanging on the edges of the vertical slits in the center tread block - it looks like the toe could be out of spec as well.

alright well I should get it out in the open cause Im sure we all know, Iam an aggressive driver on a daily basis..I do stop and go traffic everyday I drive....about 15-20 stop lights each day....and I have a heavy foot...i jsut suppose 50% gone with around 5k miles seems, for lack of a better word.....retarded.

Lol, was this all a test??

5k is normal for that kind of driving, and get an alignment when you put on your new tires.

I honestly thought the minute people read that they would all lean to that conclusion and not try and think of other things that could or would cause it. I wanted to get other possibilities out in the open that I could consider....

so I guess it was a test...not intentional though

I go through a set of rears every 8K miles.

After thorough research and testing i found the problem was my right foot. Im getting the nismo v2 next week...

Isn't it true most of the time cheaper tires have better traction but wear faster?

Wear faster or not..to wear down that fast is outrageous even for an aggressive driver IMO. Kumho ASX all season tires have really great tread life from what I've seen. Unless you're doing donuts and smoking those tires daily something doesn't seem to add up.

The most I ever expect out of tires is 10k. That's my general rule.
