Official Aggressive Wheels & Fat Tires Thread
Im a student too and I didn't throw on ebay parts and ruin it. If your priorities are school, food and housing, don't waste your money on garbage parts just bc you can't afford nicer stuff. Why not just leave it stock? was it like this when you bought it?
All the cars that I bought are from this forum...You can blame on the wheels, but I'm not paying 2k-3k on wheels just for the looks. Well, not for now... someday..
I bought rotas from a local shop, and I'm happy with it. I tracked the car a couple of times and they worked out good enough for my necessities as a driver and track junkie. Also, please tell me what parts are from ebay and how did I ruin it...? are you talking of real car parts or the emblems? those were not applied with double sided tape and I'm scared of paint marks due to glue or something.

Anyways, move on man... I don't see what is your problem. If you have a stock car be happy with it bro. When people get parts and customize their cars, they go their own way based on taste. That's why you'll even see a whole bunch of authentic expensive good looking and weird looking body interior/exterior parts. Some like a kit like Veilside III(Fast and furious +$$$$) but you may like a front lip. All parts are out to accommodate every Z driver with its own passion and taste. Now if your choice is stay stock and simple go for it, if you mod it your own way go for it, but let others do their thing and respect.
BTW,I appreciate the guy who sold me the car although he had a crazy taste hehe jk.. HE is cool. He was a member and introduced me to the forums. I believe this is a community to support, help, give advices, and enjoy out common passion on Z's. Not to be a freaking hater without a cause. If you don't like something say it as many do. How? i guess you go to college huh.. and you've been thought some manners.. If not, go cry to your daddy next time and stop wasting others time with your nonsense comments.
Been doing so much to the car from the ground up and kind of put it on the back burner only to get back into finishing it up recently.
I'm almost certain I had the first set in this exact color and size ever made. (I had them prior to this post: https://my350z.com/forum/3359391-post2.html ) I've still have yet to see someone run these sizes with a tire thats "proper" (my opinion of course). Everyone has tires that have some stretch to them. Bleh...
Oh and you need center caps and big blue brakes
Do you mean you have the first set ever made?
Because...

Ok, so I want to put a nice set of tires and got more "meaty" than anything else. I got my hands on some decent rims at almost free price. Looking for opinions on what sizes you guys would suggest.
18X9 +24
18x10 +22
Also, suspension is completely stock, and I don't really plan on lowering the car (crappy WI roads, daily driven and I like to the stock ride height). I have no problem rolling fenders, it's nothing new to me as I've done it on my old S13 and other people's 240sx's. Just looking at advise for tire sizes.
Thanks,
Jay

^ Since you're on the stock suspenders, I'd do 40 series. 245/40F 275/40R Fills up the wheel well nicely without giving you sloppy sidewalls.
265/35F and 285-295/35R would get you into this thread but then laughed back out it for having too much wheel gap.

Gotcha, that's kinda what I was looking at, at 1st, but figured since I was going w/ a RT615, NT05, RS-3, 595RS-R, etc, max/ultra summer perf that the sidewall stiffness should be good enough to go wider.
You can always run wider but for DD and with that kinda compound would you really need to? I would not consider any of those tires daily driver worthy but to each their own I guess.
Most of those tires will overpower the stock suspension which makes for unpredictable handling. They will increase the ride harshness you are trying to avoid by not lowering your car, will tramline and wear quickly.

It's a daily, but it's also my weekend track toy. I do time trials, lapping days and a few autoX's. I'm used to daily driving on the 200 or less compounds of the Max/Ultra summer perf tires.
And after looking at the rims again, it looks like they are 9.5" and 10.5"
