Hey guys I recently bought some some 18x8.5 and 18x10 +25 and I went a ahead and ordered tired but after looking through this thread idk if I chose the right sizes or not. The sizes I bought are 245/40/18 and a 285/40/18. I'm on stock ride height for now. Did I choose the right tire sizes lol?
I am considering running these tire sizes, will these cause an issue with VDC?

275/40 would be much better in the rear. 285/40 is too tall. Ive heard good things about 265/35 f and 285/35 r also.

Which is why you always research before buying, not after. Sounds crazy I know.
Eh I honestly think its more to say "hey my car has 335s"
I could be wrong though they could be making 1000+HP and need the tire
Agreed. I do love a big tire, however, I know of 900rwhp Z32s with 255-sized (drag) tires that hook, but they need heat. Once you make some horsepower, there isn't a "wide" street tire out there that is going to help unless it's a Flintstone roller. On my Z32, I run a lower boost setting in 1st and 2nd, then up the boost in 3rd and it sorta hooks (i.e. spins but goes straight) until 4th gear.
