Silverstone 350z - Rim ideas?
Hey guys, new here
Looking at a silverstone coloured 2004 350z today and current plans to start off with are a) some nice wheels and b) carbon bonnet
Question is if any of you have rim ideas for a silverstone Z? I'm thinking gunmetal or silver - but then again I could go with a carbon/charcoal colour scheme and get some black rims with a silver trim.
Few examples I've liked

sweet, congrats on your almost-Z-purchase...
I have a CS (chrome silver) Z and just bought some gold rota boost wheels for it...everyone sticks with what is "safe" sometimes out of the ordinary is better

Thanks mate
I thought of gold but really not a fan for putting them on my own one - I think it'd go better with the silver Z than the charcoal/silverstone Z, I had however considered buying gold rims when I was about to look at a white 350z ..too bad it sold a day before I could get out to check it out though
White Z's are pretty rare down under! Most common is silver/blue (for sale anyway)

Can't say I'm a fan of the blue .. thinking I'll stay in the 'greyscale' area to be honest
haha sorry guys
The silver is definitely starting to grow on me .. couple of other examples:
Enkei RP05

Konig Freefall

Konig K-Tune

Decisions, decisions
And guys bit of a noob question but hey, I'm learning
Since these usually come fitted with tires how do I choose the right tire? My 350z will be driven as more of a 'luxury' car for myself to be honest but I've always loved the design of them etc - not quite sure whether wheels count or if it comes down to suspension (eg; bumps in the road and what not)
Thanks for the help guys

^ yup, the wheels do matter. Obviously different brands of tires also affect ride quality.
Also, the larger the wheels (diameter), the less tire you put and usually the lesser the ride quality. Although some say this is barely noticeable.
For choosing the right tire sizes, it would depend on the wheel widths and diameter.
Though you can definitely run stretched or fat tires depending on your taste.

When it comes to driving I just want a smooth ride (as smooth as possible)
What would be the best option to tell them when they are fitting my tires?
(I'd also rather them flush with the car sides not sticking out etc)
Just want to know what to tell them I want instead of them trying to sell me the most expensive option lol

I have an 05 Silverstone that originally came with 18" HyperBlack TSW Mondellos & Nitto. Personally, I think the Hyperblack (similar to Charcoal) does look good with Silverstone. However, I finally decided to go with 19" Rota P45R & Falkens (Hypersilver - I was going to go with Hyperblack - either one is good though). The tire/wheel combo fit real flush and the ride is actually better (I have Eibach springs too). I made my choice based on cost, offset available, style, color, and weight (lastly not too flashy as I have some real aholes that like to "f" with your ride).
