Wheels Got Stolen Right Off My Car!!!! Now What?
I will preface this whole thread by stating that I do not live in a bad area, slum or ghetto.
I walked outside Friday morning to go to work to find that my 19" TSW Thruxtons have been stolen...right from my parking lot at my condo.
Yes...those are bread crates that my car is sitting on. It was a massive ***** to get that car off the ground.
I did not have wheel locks but did have the lugs that came from TSW with the special adaptor that was necessary to get them on and off the car. I do not want to hear about how i should of had locks.
These rims were on my car for 4 years and all 16 seasons. Looked phenomenal from about 15' away but were a mess up close. So not quite sure why I was targeted.
Luckily i have my stock 17's and have a $0 deductible. So I will be getting a check but am not...NOT...putting on new rims until I move. I am looking to buy a house in the next year or two.
I am planning on putting wider tires on my stock 17's. I believe 255 in the rear is the widest you want to go on an 8" rim. I have read the spacer thread and am wondering if you guys think it would be necessary to get spacers to close the gap if I am using the 255's?
I was using 275 on my TSWs and I liked the way that it looked and handled.
I was also thinking about putting an Eibach Prokit but am worried that I finally do in my suspension. (I have 95,000 on the car)
Anyway...any insights, suggestions or critiques are welcome.
Hey...at least I got the day off. Couldn't really go anywhere

Right out front. About 40 ft from the building.
They must of been in and out quick. Not sure how they got to it because i had my neighbor's car pretty close to my passenger side door when i parked that night and it was still there in the morning.
Its a small community also. I have my council checking surveillance tapes as there is only one way in and out of the complex. Not a lot of traffic.

I can see why it happened now...the glasgow area has really gone to crap recently. I used to live over off Elkton Road near Suburban Plaza until January. I got too paranoid about my car. I'm up in Hockessin now.

We'll see. All i know is that i am not doing anything else to my car. I just turned 29, got engaged and will probably have a kid soon. I am hoping to get moved out of there before the latter.

I have had my condo for almost 5 years now so I know what you mean...it seems like in the past year has been a little sketchy. Its got its good and its bad and everyone usually keeps to there respective sides. But its seems like there is some intertwining now.

Good luck with getting everything repaired and replaced!
