Not sure how different the Z is from the G in terms of fitment, but I plan to run 245 fronts and 275 rears on a 19x9.5 +7 fronts and 19x10.5 +8 rear. I do have my fenders rolled. I plan to stick with less than -2.5 neg camber.

It looks like one hard turn and it'll rub. I bet the suggestion from Kuah at SPL that this will work is with a lot of front negative camber. It sounds like this car is a DD, so that may not be an ideal situation. The outside portion of my front Hoosiers get glazed from slight rubbing. Another 10mm out will certainly rub without a lot more camber.

OK guys I highly appreciate all the responses, I think I have my mind set on 255 front and 275 rear. Rims are still on backorder so I wont be able to post results in a while but when I do I will get a post up.

As an alternative thought, you could get the +25s which we know work, and couple them with a 10 or 15mm spacer to suit your desired look?

interesting stuff....I run a square fitment on my DD too.

What the preferred rotation pattern? The book doesn't recommend.
Side to side? Front to back? or X (LF to RR, etc)?

That is the reason for the offset choice, I do not want to run any spacers.

I run a square setup consisting of 275/35/18 tires on 18x10.5 +22 wheels with no spacers and 3 degrees of negative camber in the front and 2.5 in the rear. The car is lowered 1 inch and has no rubbing issues at all inside or out.

I would assume that +12 would rub depending on camber and height.

275/40/17 is actually a little taller than your 275/35/18 set-up. It's slight, but it's something to consider.

No.

Yes.

Agreed, although I think he should try the set up first and see how it feels. If he feels like it's too tail happy, in situations he doesn't feel it should be, then yes it should be able to be remedied with adjustable sways.

I'm now running a 275 in the front (295 rear). I LOVE the 275 in the front compared to the "standard" 245 I was running (275 rear). I like the steering to have more weight to it, at least for me it's given more confidence in road holding capabilities as well.

question: Can i have -3 front/-2.5 rear camber with all stock suspension(tanabe gf210 spring and hotchikis swaybars only)?
Thank you

Mounted pics FTW! 17x10 +12 all around. 255/40 front, 275/40 rear. Sumitomo tires.

I do not think anything bigger then 255 upfront would fit, I barely and I mean BARELY have room without spacer so this setup worked out PERFECT! I recommend this setup for DD setup, tires are hella cheap and the wheels are super lightweight.

Strange. I have 255 up front on my stock NISMO wheels, and have a ton of clearance. Going to get 265 next.

His is a 17x10 front wheel. Yours is 18x9, ya?

you will get about -1.5 front and -2 rear without front and rear camber arms. Beside, unless you has a track car with R comps, you really don't want more than -2.

Thank you.
I m thinking about getting 17"x9" or 17"x9.5" with 255 tires for four corners. Z1 star spec or federal 595 rsr.

I'm running -1.8 front and -1.9 rear right now , seems to be about perfect on the track for the tires NT05's.

I just swapped track tires around , now i'm running 17x9 +17 front and 17x9 +7 rear with 275's all around. Track only , i run a standard stagger for street.

To the person mentioning 255 all around, don't. That rear tire is really short and will change the gearing way to much, you WILL need to shift way to often on the track. Do the 275's all around if you don't want a stagger for the track. Also the Z really likes having a wide front tire, its KINDA a heavy car.

As scotts300 pointed out, this wheel is an inch wider, and (while I don't have the exact figures on hand) I'd venture to say the factory front Nismo wheel is absolutely no where near a +12 offset, thus you don't have rubbing issues...just like I don't have rubbing issues with a 9.5" front with a 275 width tire.

Quick Reply: 275s all around,+12 offset, will it work?
