Snow tires & wheels

Could we install 16 in. steel wheel or mag on 2004 Nissan 350Z for winter time?
What would be the preferred tire size?
P.S. Not Brembo equiped

I just bought my rims and tires from Wal-mart $800.00 Canadian with taxes installed with 16" steel rims. If you need more info message me back.
