Default look for very quiet tires

I have a 2003 350z Grand Touring. I am keeping my stock 17" wheels. I wish I could afford to get new wheels, but I just can't right now. I ran the stock tires, and I liked them. They lasted for 26k miles and need to be changed, esp. the back ones.

I want the car to still handle amazing, but have a very quiet tire. Should I just get the stock tires again? I don't mind getting different ones that are better, but I'm always nervous of defects. I have had bad luck from other tire brands before.

so..what is the best tire thats gonna handle like a porsche, but thats very quiet too? is this possible? Again, I'm staying with my stock 17" wheels.

thanks, mikie

If it ain't broke....

You said you were happy with the previous set you had and have had bad experiences with other brands before so just get the same tires that you had that just wore out.

Unfortunately can't have it all. If you want very quiet tires you'll have to trade some performance handling to do so. Touring tires will provide the best creature comfort but won't handle as well.

If you don't want to use the same as you have now again, it might be best in a mild high performance all season like the Bridgestone G019 Grid. They do a bit of everything across the board.

All the reviews I have seen have stated that the Invo is a very quiet tire with good dry and wet traction.

When I had my stockers on I had great experiences with Kumho Ecsta's,
though they did not seem to fare well on the chart...
