Default AXIS REVERB or Matrix - thoughts and size?

New member here. I just purchased a 2004 Z. I want to replace the stock wheels but want to keep the rubber as it is brand new. I've done a lot of looking and have a budget of approx. $1K for wheels.

So what is the general consensus for this wheel?

Are there any other wheels in a similar price range I should be looking at.

What size wheels given my tire size of: 225/45 2R18 91y FRONT
245/45 2R18 100Y Rear

Ohh and here is the car:

I recommend that you shop for tires to fit wheels not shop for wheels to fit tires.

You what to use your current tires instead of putting them in the trash? THen use the tires before shopping for wheels.

I guess I don't follow your logic but I appreciate your input. I am happy with the height and aspect ratio of the current set up. The stock rims are not my favorite. The tires are literally brand new as the dealership I bought the car from replaced the old rubber less than a week before I bought the car.

So if I have new rubber and I am happy with the size of the wheels/tires, but not crazy about the style of the wheels why not buy what fits the current rubber?

That will work. If you are happy with OEM wheel size, just go OEM width plus or minus 0.5 inches. Here is an example: https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-...70-bronze.html

Here"s what I'm thinking.

I'll take the 245's I currently have and mount them in the front and buy 265s or 275s for the rear. I am now leaning towards Axis Matrix. So any help on size wheels and offsets or is there an online resource I can use?

He is right, OP.

Either sell the tires to someone or drive them till bald then get new wheels/tires if your that worried about your oem's.

Buying wheels to fit tires (esp OEM tires) is only going to dissapoint you in the end. Its not worth it.

Any typical 8.5f and 9.5r setup will work and let you go with wider tires later.

The combination of wheels and tires is infinite. This is my favorite offset calculator: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

Ok guys I finally pulled the trigger. Thanks for the wheel/tire advise. Next is springs .

I am waiting on delivery of 18x9.5 Rota Torque wheels in hyperblack. The rubber is 245/40 F and 275/40 rear.

So I need to lower just a little bit. I was thinking Eibach springs which should lower me 1".

So now what do you think?

Not sure why you put a 245 mm tire on a 9.5 inch wheel. A 8.5 inch wheel would be fine.
