Default HELP!!! <<<Loose wheel stud>>>

So yesterday I was in the process of taking off one of my rear wheels when I get to the last lug and the wheel stud comes loose! Thus not allowing me to take the lug off. Can anyone offer any suggestions as how to ge the lug off?

Here's the reason I was taking the wheel off! I was having a small rubbing issue (only on one fender) so I was gonna give it a small pull.

I had this happen to me I think..I was loosening a lug and it just kept spinning. Lucky for me I used my air compressor and gunned it off and it worked..if anything you might have to bring it to a shop so they can drill/cut the stud/lug off completely..

I don't have an air compressor. And I can't drive the car cause the loose stud keeps spinning around and will mess the wheel up/car is to damn low to get it towed. I need and find a local buddy with a compressor.

That is a headache. The lug nut is inside the wheel so it is difficult to get to with a nut cracker.

Cold chisel time!

i had this problem what you can do is take it to a muffler shop or whatever and have them weld the stud from the back onto the hub.

Probably not. This will just let you get the lug/wheel and tire off. Then you're off to fixing it

A spot weld may allow you to get the lug nut off. Good idea.

I had the same problem on 3 of my lug nuts, had to take the car to a metal shop and they melted the studs without damaging my wheels, it was in Laredo TX.

Ok, so Sat a friend and I tried diff things(impact, cold chisel, and a few others). Only to find out none of them worked. So we ended up using a dremel to cut away on the lug. It took awhile a very long time but it worked. I just tapped up the wheels really well and went slowly at it.. Finally broke the lug off and replaced the stud..
