Default Will 4 17" rear OEM wheels fit???

I'd like to put 4 17"x8" rear OEM 350Z wheels from the 03-05 model on my 08 for a squared set of track wheels/tires. Is there any kind of problem in doing this? Has anyone done it before?

Like Farmer said, lots of Zers run 17s, including myself (although bigger than your 17x8s), on the track. 255/40/17 tire MAX though.

Default ?

My only concern was that the specifically say "REAR" on them. Is the 235/50/R17 the best tire size for these?

And you guys that run 17's, how wide are they and how did you decide on your width? How wide can you go before it effects the handling in a negative way?

I run 17x9's front and rear for track , i can either run 275/40 square or 255/40 275/40 combo that way.

2nd.
My autox set is 17x9.5 275/40 square. My track set is 17x10 275/40 square. These 275s do run wide.

Do the 17x9's and 17x10's stick out very far? What kind of offsets are they? I don't want it to look like one of those trashy trucks or SUVs that have wheels that stick out way too wide.

My 17x10s are +25 and I run a 3mm shim spacer to move the wheel away from the suspension a tad, otherwise it's literally 3 hairs away from it. With a wide tire, this is about the max in the front, as I get light rubbing on the upper shoulder of the tire. These tires are very square though, so not all tires would rub in that location. Regardless, it's quite close with the 275/40/17. There is more room in the rear for a wider wheel and/or more tire; I don't run a larger rear tire a) because I rotate them and b) because Hoosier recommends at 10" wheel for their 275 tire at the minimum.
