Default Falken 452 Tires

Hey guys, just wnated to know your input on this tire. Its it a good quality tire. I was running pirelli pzero assemetrico but i poped the one front tire and I am not paying 700+ for a new tire. Just wnated to know if anyone had used these or had any other suggestions for a replacment tire. Thanks for your help.

I had a pair of the 452's and they sucked. I didn't even get 8,000 miles out of them. They didn't grip worth a damn either.

I've had them in 19" since about April and am very happy with them. They're much quieter than the oem Bridgestones and seem to handle well.

I've had the standard 19" set up since March and very pleased with them - quite, good performance, and good looking. I know there are better out there. I felt these were the best value for the buck!

Falkens are known as an inexpensive (read: cheap) performance tire. Personally, I wouldn't give them a try. There are much better alternatives out there. But this is just like oil threads. You'll find that there are people that are passionate about certain brands. I wouldn't get involved in that debate.

I've tried Goodyear F-1... best tire I ever tried. Also I have Toyo T1R's on the way for my new rims (reviews to follow). I have Bridgstone Potenzas on my 370. After 5000kms, they are still very sticky. They have pretty good rigidity and seem to be wearing evenly. After a few more kms, I'll have a better idea.

Check out 1010 tires for lots of reviews on different brands. Good luck.

I have the 452's and I like the performance of them, and they hook up good. BUT they didnt last long at all. I am going to look into the potenzas and the T1R's this time.

I've had FK452's for about 5k miles so far and I am really happy with them. I dunno how long they are going to last though.

I had T1R's before this and on a performance level, dry level and wet grip level, I would say they are very comparable.

good bang for the buck.

Ive had them since early spring and I like them. Theyre definatley pretty quiet and the performance isnt half bad, but like others have said they do wear pretty fast

I had them on for a good 5 months before I sold the Z and thought they performed well for the price. I still think the BFG KDW's are the best. I had them onmy WRX and I didn't have one complaint about them.

when you guys say wear pretty fast.. did you get them new? total # of miles? was your alignment decent, or customized at all? fronts/rears lasted how many miles?

curious to see what I am in for..

^^^^ I got mine from a buddy and they had 500miles on them, brand new practically. I was not lowered either. They have lasted about 10k miles if that, and I leave the vdc on.

I had spacers front/rear on stock suspension. I'm sure it would've caused tire feathering issues down the line due to the, well, tire feathering issue from the factory but from what I experienced with the tire, I enjoyed.

From the various replies I read here, it seems that different Zs have different camber/caster problems and that there's no specific tire brand that's "IT". I guess trial-and-error is the only---and expensive---way to find out! So far, Dunlops seem to cut it best for my Zed.
