Default I could use some help..

My vehicle was in an accident last week. The wheels I have are discontinued and it looks like I will not find a replacement. The insurance company is pulling some ******** in a lot of ways. But for this they are trying to give me some stock wheels then I need to buy the tires for them, and what not. Well so far the simple solution is give me $720 to replace all 4. Yeah. So, I was wondering if anyone has come across a set of wheels that would fit my current tires that would come close to that. In black or black with red stripe or just something like that. My tires are 245/35/18 up front and 275/35/18 in the rear.

Thank you for your help.

Take the money for the stock wheels , take the tire money and buy a set of Rota's from wheeldude. Then all you have to do is buy rear tires, you already have a nice set of fronts 275/35 and for unknown reason a set of civic tires.

These are the wheels, sorry i do not have a better pic at the moment. Just converted to Win7 and all pics are on backup.
The wheels are from Ampwheels.com They are called Tsukaba I believe. Nothing special but you can't get them anymore. And again, the tires are 245/35/18 UP FRONT, and 275/35/18 IN REAR. Maybe I am missing something but I don't know the reason for the civic comment.

If anyone has suggestions, please let me know. I do not know a lot about wheels and tires. I just don't want to pay more out of pocket and also I don't want to have some ghey looking wheels on my car like what insurance guy is trying to do to me.

Thanks again.

https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-...eet-track.html and reread what i said above. 245/35-18 is a great tire for a civic or whatever , but does not belong on a Z , our typical fronts and 245/40 , 255/40 . 265/35 and 275/35 , your tire is way to short.

Thanks for the info. I do not know a lot about tires. I do not know a lot about how they effect things as well. When I got these wheels, this was what was recommended by the company that sold me them. They had the same wheels and tire set up on their feature 350Z so I thought it was right. I will look into it and change as needed. Thanks again for the info.

Wow, just got home and got to see the pics of your old wheels. The wheels in the link i gave you will be a hell of a lot better wheel. Lighter, better offset etc etc. Just look around on wheeldudes site , he has a few other really nice styles to chose from.

I PM'd him. He replied, and I called him right back. He was busy and hopefully calls me back soon. I wasn't very fond of the ones he had but I guess whatever works. Personal preference I guess. Some people loved the wheels I had, some didn't. Obviously I was a fan enough to buy them. My favorite would be the Volk TE37's but don't have that kind of money right now.

OK, I have looked around. I found some on ebay, (I know what you will say) that is close to my price range and doesn't look to bad. At least they do not look bad to me. I am asking you guys to take a look and let me know what you think. The Rotas are cheaper than what wheeldude was selling for and the others I have not heard of before. Which makes me nervous but I am no expert here.

Actually I am leaning towards the XXR's, the first link. The adjuster said that he will just pay me and this is what I will get I believe.

^^ Rota does have a TE37 replica and I think it's called the Grid.

EDIT: Here's the thread when Wheeldude introduced the Grid to my350z:
https://my350z.com/forum/media-share...red-setup.html

Donovan, out of the 4 links you posted, my favorite style is the Rota P45, BUT the widths and offsets are weak IMO. I am thinking that 9.5" width with +30 offset is going to look pretty tucked-in.

I agree with terrsmak, talk directly to Dan at Wheeldude and get set-up with the proper widths and offsets. Even if you end up paying a little extra, you'll be getting a nicely-fitting setup that you won't regret. At any rate I would take Dan's price quote to your insurance swindler and have him match it.

EDIT#2: For what it's worth, I don't really like any of the other 3 wheels you posted, just my opinion.

I would never reuse tires that were from a damaged wheel, neither should your ins co.

They are not reusing the damaged tires. The 3 undamaged ones though.

I don't know. To be honest I just want this done. I found out that my report date is no longer in December. It is the 23rd of this month. I talked to my unit and and I can wait to report till the 30th. Just the timing of all this sucks.

I am going with the XXR's which is the first link. In my opinion they look A LOT like the Rotas and the seller is cutting me a break on the price as well. The 3 tires that were not involved in the collision are getting used and the insurance is buying me another tire to replace the one. This was a collision of only about 15 mph so I hope there was no damage to the other 3 tires.

Thanks for all the info. I learned a lot and you posed questions I did not think about before.
