I recently read on one of the forums that some Scion XB was running such a stretched tire on a 10.5 that the bead broke and he crashed on the highway going like 50 mph or something. I think it was because of the tire pressure being too low. Don't quote me but I think it was a 215 on a 10.5 inch wide rim. Seems a little bit sketchy to me.

275 on a 10.5 is not a stretch lol

to the person wondering what tires to go with do what you said either a 215/35 or 225/35 front and 245/35 rear you could do a 255/35 rear but its only a slight stretch.

there you go, have fun stretching =)

toyo t1r is the best, but pricey, fk452s are good as well as nexen im not sure which model.

i get all my tires directly from falken through their race program and they seem to have no concerns about stretching tires. im running a 255/35 on a 10.5 and 235/35 on a 9.5

If it’s only stretching you’re after, consider the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3.

This tire’s softer sidewall allows it adapt to either stretching or “fat fitment” (i.e., bulging).
