whats the difference?
A one piece wheel is just that - 1 piece. They are either forged or cast as 1 continuous piece. Forged one piece wheels offer lightweight, high strength, and cost substantially more than cast wheels. Cast one piece wheels are less expensive to produce, so are cheaper than forged one piece wheels. Within the overall banner of 'cast' there are different processes used for manufacturing as well.
A two piece (or three) wheel has multiple pieces - in the case of a 2 piece, the center section (spokes) is either welded or bolted to the outer lip. A 3 piece is bolted together with an inside lip, outside lip, and center spoke. Multipiece wheels give you more flexibility as far as widths and offsets, since they are modular. One piece wheels are typically more restrictive as far as widths and offsets, since a new mold is required for each size.
One being better than another - an open ended and totally subjective question, depends on what the buyer is after in terms of budget, use, etc etc
