Default mixed advice

im tired of being the wheel and tire noob, not knowing about tire sizes on 19s, i have gt7s 8.5 9.5 some tell me go with 235 30/275 35 some tell me 235 35/275 35, i have a friend who did the wheels and tires for outcast he tells me like 235 40/275 30 i was like what?he said i needed to make the wheels look the same size i told him there are some tire senser issues. i know there are threads that say you should keep the tire tread height the same like 35 front 35 back but i see tons with 30 in front 35 in back. anyway help would be great. thanx

In the ever wise words of Ralphus...

"The rear tire is wider, and that 30-35 number is a percentage of the width which is the sidewall size. So you want the rear tire to be a lower percentage of the width of the tire to stay even with the front. Overall, they are almost the exact same height.

245 * 35% = 85.75
285 * 30% = 85.5

So they are as close to the same height sidewall as possible."

I just pulled that from the thread with shortbus's 20" iForged thread....besst and easiest explanation for you....
