Default Axis Staggered Wheel Question (pic)

I'm looking at these wheels...

Axis Matrix 19x9.5 5x114.3 (+40mm)

Is anyone running staggered size 19x8 in the front with 19x9.5 in the rear?

What tire size is optimal for the front and rear?

Anyone have any pics on their Z with these wheels that they could post?

Thanks.

Please NO, and that site should be flamed for advertising them as 350z fitment with +40 offset.

I would suggest getting wheels that come in a 9.5 and 10.5 for the rear. A 9.5 rear with +40 offset would look silly unless you get some major spacers. But if you're truly set on those wheels, just get 9.5's all around. You can stagger the tires if you'd like, but don't get those 8" fronts.

Thanks guys, I thought 40+ offset sounded strange, but I'm still a bit new when it comes to how things will look. From what I've read, and good fitment is something like:

9x9.5 255/35/19 +22
19x10.5 285/35/19 +22

I'm not set on those wheels. I'm trying to get a set of AME Tracer TM02's in Hyper Sliver; however, apparently these wheels are hard to come by now.

The sizes are OK but not the offset. I assume +40 mm is for front wheel drive.

For 8.0 and 9.5 inch wheels you have a wide choice of tires. Learn to use a tire calculator to match OEM tire height.

Fit and look are completely different terms. Fit is functional. Learn to use a offset calculator for fit. Look on the other hand is subjective. A wheel may fit but not look as you want it to.

There is this calculator that a lot of ppl use. Wheel Offset Calculator

I have a 2005 350Z. Correct me if I'm wrong, but stock wheels are front 17x7 +30, rear 17x8 +33.

Now, say I'm looking at these Volk GTV wheels, which come in many offsets.

Could you explain how these offsets will affect the appearance and how to use the calculator?

Thanks, just lack of experience.

350Z Wheels
Standard 17":
Alum Alloy
F-17x7.5
23.259lbs
R-17x8
24.140lbs

350Z Offsets:
Standard 17":
F-.30
R-.33

Offset can be a bit confounding. Just play with the calculator. +30 mm. +25 mm. +20 mm. You can see as you decrease offset you are moving the wheel closer to the fender
