Default TPMS - How many tires can be programmed at one time?

Sorry to start a new thread, but I have a question that I can't seem to find via search, or via the "100 Questions" thread...

I'm picking up a z in a few days here, and the dealer will be installing winter tires and rims on the car... I'm wondering if the ECU can have two sets of rims, (8 sensors) programmed at one time? Or, if the dealer installs the TPMS to the new rims, will I have to get the original rims reprogrammed when summer comes around (not ideal paying the dealer fee for this each time I change the rims myself)?

Also, I noticed that in the "100 Questions" thread, it says that there is a "beep" and then the light will say on if you do not have Tire Pressure Monitors installed... is it just one beep, and the light stays on? Or does it constantly beep? Or, does it even beep at all?

Thanks for helping guys.

you can only have 4 at a time programmed......

you will have to swap sensors to your other set of wheels or reprogram each time..

I run so many different wheels i havent had my sensors on in a long time......it beeped once for me and the light came on......but now its off and been off.....occasionally it will come on, but its weird..

never been an annoyance...

Ahh... that's what I thought might happen...

Since you can only have 4 programmed, I think I'm going to just deal with the light remaining lit during our winter months... Thanks Jason.

I honestly don't remember if mine has beeped or not when the light came on - it doesnt come on for a good 60-70 miles or an hour or two of driving. I've never looked at it that closely, but its really not bad. I'm ignoring it for the winter as well, just means I have to get a little colder occasionally to check pressures.
