Default wheel pros I need help!!! (wheel math)

Hey guys, i feel sorta goofy cuz this question is not related to Zs. I am looking to get a new set of rims for my Lexus GX470 suv and was hoping to get some clarification on an offset and size related question.

Right now I have some 20s on there but I am looking to swap them out for 22s.

Here are the specs of the 2 rims sets, 1 being stock;

OEM - Size: 17" x 7.5" 25mm offset, Bolt Pattern: 6 x 5.5 (same as 6 x 139.7)
Aftermarket - Size: 22" x 9.5" +35mm or +18mm offset, Bolt Patter: 6 x 5.5

I guess technically I can fit these on my car because the bolt patter is the same but I am wondering what offset i should go with?... and if I will need some wheel spacers?..

I have no idea what the difference would be in having a 35 vs 18mm offset with the size of 22 inches.

Any help would be so greatly appreciated!!

Regards,

B

stock sticks out 2.7" from the hub
+35mm setup would stick out 3.4" from hub, .7 inches more then stock
+18mm setup would stick out 4.04" from hub, or 1.34 inches more then stock

The amount it sticks out from hub depends on the wheel width and offset.

oh ok, so +35mm sounds pretty good to me, i think i can make that work for sure. 0.7" is probably not too noticeable. I think I'm going to go for it.

Thanks so much for your help cux!
