Default Thinking of these used 18" 2006 Z wheels on CL

I'm thinking of buying these what appear to be 2006 18" 350Z wheels off a guy on CraigsList who lives about 50 miles away. I wanted to get your guys's opinions before I went and looked and maybe bought. Guy wants $750... depending on how bad the scratches are I may walk up with $600 to $700 in hand... Still seems like an alright deal.

If you're gonna pay $900 you might as well get aftermarket instead.

No he wants $750, he said he paid $900 for the tires alone, which makes sense. This is a complete set, and i'm going to use them as a spare set and maybe winter wheels. But for right now i'd use them temporarily, I'm still keeping my Rota P45R's, but one of them has a crack... may be a cause of a wreck I had a year ago, may be from a pot hole, may be a defect... i'm going to send pics to the distributer I bought them from and see if they can replace it under warranty. If not, I want to buy this CL deal to hold me over until I decide what to do.

Yeah tires frakin suck. I say do it. Those wheels look a lot better than the 17 inch stocks that you're probably replacing. I understand that not everyone has the few grand to buy BBS or Volks and then a couple grand to slap the rubber on them. Just nab this deal and have fresh tires. Those wheels do look good even if they are just stock.

I want to buy locally though, save on shipping... Do yours have tires hellsoldiers08? And your response is a pressure response, I don't buy from 'pushy salesmen' so calm down.

I don't have stock wheels guys, look at my signature... Rota P45R's which are 18".

I've always like the 2006 18" wheels, simple 5-spoke design like I like. This is a good deal WITH tires, and will hold me over for some time while I decide how I want to handle the cracked wheel I have.

i guess your paying for the price of the tires. Those same stocks, with stock tires can be found for around 3-5 hundred, depending on condition.

Yeah but then shipping was averaging $150 to $200 on ebay, so then your looking at 5-7 hundred... At which point why the hell not just get the local ones, actually see them in person, and save the hassle of shipping?

I should add, normally I would go straight for a replacement wheel from the distributor, but they don't have the wheel with the same color in stock anymore... so i'd have to buy a whole set to have matching wheels.

Alright calm down guys... damn. You have to admit your response hellsoldiers08 may have seemed pressuring to some. Plus it wasn't necessary at all and I was already considering your offer and still am. No need to get worked up over a minor misunderstanding. And I chose not to search the forums because I wanted to avoid shipping costs.

And dkmesa350z if you read all my posts you would see that I mentioned the crack may have been from an wreck. Which was almost two years ago... if they lasted this long without developing a crack, you have to give them credit. The impact was head-on into a concrete sidewalk at 30 MPH! I doubt any wheel would come out of that perfect.

Calm down on the Rota hate I have yet to see full prove that they are of poor quality. I have been impressed with how well mine have held up thus far.

waizzz, What is wrong with OEM? These look good, and have some good tires on them. I looked around for prices in the for sale forum and on ebay for awhile, this seems like a decent deal. Plus I may be able to get them for $650 or 700 if I walk up with cash in hand. I say thats a damn good deal...

https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-tire...els-tires.html
Nearly new OEM 18"s with nearly new tires going for just $150 more... but i'd have to pay shipping.

hellsoldiers08, No worries man, I rushed this thread and misunderstood your second response. Can you please reply to my PM? Thanks...

EDIT... I just realized it wasn't you that said "or do this" quoting your post. Hah! I thought it was you... sorry man, that is the only reason I felt 'pressured'. That was completely my fault... sorry dude, I have a lot on my mind and wasn't spending much time reading responses. You weren't pressuring at all I just can't read properly.
