Tires for Tennessee
I've got 20k miles on my 2007 z and it's time for some new tires. I'm still running the stock rims.
I'm in Chattanooga, TN so while it's not supposedto snow here, it has quite a bit this year (about 6-7 days and anywhere from 1 to 4 inches), which ended up being very bad the day I was caught out in it when we got 4 inches.
So I'm thinking that all-season tires are going to be the way to go here, since the Z is my daily driver. I'm looking for a good mix of performance and safety. I don't have a set budget, but obviously the cheaper the better.
I've done some searching and reading around here and the Falken ZE912s seem like they'd be a good fit for this. Does that seem the best way to go? Performance wise, how would they compare to the stock Potenzas I've had on here for the last 20k miles?

I really liked the 912s. I went through a couple of sets of them. I did have a little problem in some snow last year that involved a lot of ice and slush.
I only had this one time that I couldn't drive in the snow. It was kind of the "pefect-storm" of driving issues.
This year has been pretty wild as far as snow goes, so you'd probably be in good shape with the 912s. They ride better and last a lot longer than the OEM tires.
I purchased a set of wheels and tires from Tirerack for my 370 this year that are awesome in the snow. They are Bridestone Blizzaks.
I think I paid around $800 for the 912s for a full set with road hazard at the stock sizes.

Yeah im in nashville, its been out of hand. you can really tell the difference in summer tires and all seasons in even 1/4 inch of snow. The z hates it. My only concern is that, what if next year has a ton less snow, this weather is just crazy.
