Default CE28N + Spacer = WIN?

iīm planing on gettinī a set of CE28N with the 19x9,5 and 19x10,5 +22 offset all around, but itīs not flush enough for me (i guess). never seen front shots of this setup on a car, but i think they wonīt look like me 9,5+17 and 10,5+18 setup. so i would like to add some +5mm spacers all around (on the CE28N) to have a +17 offset all around. anyone done this before? do you think itīll look good?

Why not put some approriately sized tires like 275F and 305R on the car and then you can be a man and have flush tires too without the spacers.

even the +17 wont be flush. i have 9.5 +15 all around with 25mm spacers in rear and will be adding 10 mm in fr that gives a nice stance

Why not just buy them in +12 all around?

Do you get much more lip on the CEs when they are wider and more aggressive? Otherwise why stretch a 275 on the 10.5? What size were you going to put on the front 9.5? 275/30/19?

I think sometimes people overestimate millimeters. You do understand that 5mm is just over a fifth of an inch, right? I don't think you will gain much in the looks department, but may suffer on tire fitment.

IMO +22 is aggressive enough while still giving room for real, well fitting tires. Of course, that is just my opinion and others I'm sure would rather stick a 225mm tire on their 10.5" rim. The +17 you're proposing isn't crazy, I just don't see the point.

As Larry correctly pointed out, you cannot talk about flush or not flush without talking about the specific tire you run - it has as much to do with flushness as the wheel itself

keep in mind too, that flush is a relative term

That's my point. I didn't think a wider CE looked much different than it's narrower counterpart. So I didn't see the point in running an undersized tire on a wide wheel. If you want to run 245/275, I'd look for 8.5" fronts and 9.5" rears with whatever aggressive offset they offer given that wheel/tire combo.

This is all that needs to be said here.

My GTS's are et.17 front and et.18 rear, and imho are as flush as you can get before you start moving outside of the fender.

There seems to be a thin line here between being "flush" and having a "caveman" stance, but as Z1 stated, the term is relative so asking us such a question will only yield you mixed responses and further convolute your decision making.

Agree, and davidv would say something to the affect of 'find a setup you like and duplicate it', but that bastard is probably off enjoying his 370.

Quite a few people have +12's in that width, though I can't comment what size tires they have. Doesn't lgear have +12's?

Man, if only this site had a thread dedicated to the owners of Volk wheels, where they could post pictures of their wheels and let everyone know the specs on them... and imagine if we could search that thread too! Now that would be amazing!....

Perhaps your being a little over-zealous, no one here would dedicate a thread to such widely unused wheels on the Z.

I've got +12 CE28N's with 255/35's up front and 285/35's in the rear. Still plenty meat and I guess it's "flush", although that's not what I was shooting for.
